Shocked and saddened to hear of Danny's passing. As regular customers for many years you could not wish to meet a more lovely person at the top of his profession. He will be sorely missed by all.

I met Mr O'Hara for the first time last year, when I needed to have my eyes re-tested and a new optical prescription. He was kindness and courtesy personified, and I could not have felt in better or more competent hands. I learned only today of his sad death, and I would like to express my deepest sympathy to his family, his friends and his former colleagues. He will be much missed.

Absolutely shocked to hear of the death of my old friend Danny. My condolences to his parents and brother. Although we grew apart over the years, as people do, I have only fond memories of Danny boy during our University days. I remember when we drove a Irish plated car into Eniskillen, during an Orange Order march, and nearly got shot by the RUC; and when we came out of a Pogues concert and you had lost a shoe! Sure you're wargaming in heaven mate, and thanks for being my friend.

It is only today that we were shocked to visit the opticians for a repair to my Daughter Lisa's glasses.
Daniel had been our optician since he joined Mr.Fairweather in Truro and took over my Daughters complex eye needs.
We followed him to St.Austell because of his expertise and caring patient attitude.
We are so shocked by his untimely sunset of life.
He certainly fits in to only the good die young.
But why??

Dear Mr O'Hara's family, had an appointment with Mr.O'Hara last May. Always the professional, I told him about my another lot tablets, I had been prescribed. Mr. O'Hara explained the side effects, causing problems with field vision, I explained their was nothing wrong with my field vision, hubby was to blame for either standing or sitting on what I was looking for ! He was laughing, managed to turn everything around to blaming (long suffering) hubby. I knew my eye sight had deteriorated quite a bit since the year before, because of this I didn't want it to be too depressing, hence I was trying to make it light hearted. No idea how we got around to talking about gnats/midges bites, Mr. O'Hara mentioned about his holiday in Scotland years before. About the 'run' to the bathroom block on the campsite , running and smacking midges same time, it's an image I have held onto. Mr. O'Hara was our optician for 4 years from the start our eyes sight started to deteriorate, we had confidence in him, always a gentleman and caring. We will miss him Very sorry for your loss. Kind regards, Louise Eathorne-Mellow and Desmond Mellow

So very saddened to hear of Mr O'Hara's passing. My son, Connor, has been going to him since he was very little and enjoyed our visits as the staff were all so lovely and it was like visiting a friend. My sympathies go out to his family and friends. We will really miss him.
